Staffy Campaign
For sometime now UK animal rescue and welfare organisations have been concerned and distressed about the prolific numbers of Staffordshire Bull Terriers being bred and found waiting in pounds to be rehomed or euthanised because supply has outstripped demand. In many cases, these usually ‘people friendly’ dogs, are being overbred by unregistered breeders and then homed to people that either have them for the wrong reasons or have not fully considered the importance of responsible dog ownership.
UK rescue groups, animal welfare organisations, Members of Parliament and celebrities have now joined together to organise a national campaign to persuade the government and owners of Staffordshire Bull Terriers, to put measures in place to stem the indiscriminate breeding of these unfortunate animals and to encourage owners to neuter and spay their pets.
This website and information relating to The Staffy Campaign is freely available for people to pledge their support, to become informed regarding this emotive issue. Together we hope to find workable solutions that will undoubtedly save lives.
